Avana® Deep Cleaning Instructions

Ashbury

1

Occasionally, you might show your Avana® bottle some extra love by giving it a deep clean. Carefully follow the steps below.

Disassemble the bottle as follows: unscrew and remove the cap.

2

Remove the silicone gasket from inside the lid by easing the handle of a teaspoon, chopstick, or other thin, blunt object under the outer edge of the gasket.

Wash the silicone gasket and the inside of the lid with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and air dry.

3

When all components are completely dry, reassemble. The side of the silicone gasket with small recessed lines should face into the lid, while the smooth side should face outward.

4

Unscrew and remove the FreeSip® spout from the bottle.

Remove the straw and clean with a straw brush.

5

Remove the silicone gasket encircling the neck of the FreeSip® spout.

6

Wash the spout and gasket with warm soapy water. Use a straw brush to clean inside the small passage through the spout. Rinse thoroughly and air dry completely.

7

To reassemble, replace the silicone gasket so that the thicker edge is closer to the top of the FreeSip® spout. Make sure that the straw is completely inserted into the FreeSip® spout.

8

Use warm soapy water and a bottle brush to clean inside the bottle.

For an even deeper clean, fill the bottle with a 1:5 ratio of household white vinegar and warm water and let sit for 10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly and air dry completely.

9

Reassemble the bottle when all parts are completely dry.

We recommend washing frequently. Avoid storing liquids inside the bottle. Store the bottle with the lid off.
